Europe Day Festival 2023

On 7 May, Ireland’s first Europe Day Festival took place in Cork City. Over 700 people came to engage, have fun, and exchange on the European Union.

Just like for St Patrick’s Day when we celebrate Ireland, the Europe Day Festival was a family fun day dedicated to celebrating the club the European Union is.

We had over 20 EU-themed activities, including an amazing EU treasure hunt, 10 live performances on stage in Cork City Concert Hall and lots of EU games, debates, simulations, interactions with a chatbot, a social media booth, drawing, multilingual singing and story telling, making your own European puppet, pancakes and so much more to discover why Ireland has been in the European club for 50 years and what values it is proudly supporting.
